The Unexpected Dev 👨💻
Before I got into programming, I had no idea what I would do in life. I had been a wanderer until I got an ad for a hackathon, which would change my life forever. A hack a what? Yeah, well I did not know much at that time...read about what it was and then got interested in it so I joined it. I ended up becoming a finalist in it! Though did not win it but that competition helped me realise that I was hella interested in programming and hence, from then onwards I set off with the aim of becoming a programmer!
Lil storm gets to work 🖥️
So after that huge boost to my morale 📯, I went straight to work. I started easy by learning HTML and building basic website structures to practice it. Moved on to CSS and JS for styling and adding functionality to my websites. I then built my first website! I felt like I was the happiest person alive in the whole world! I did not stop there because legends never stop, whatever obstacle may come their way they keep pressing on till they achieve their goals.
Coding Storm is born ⚡
After learning to program I started to join communities such as GitHub etc and started to help the newcomers there. This helped me gain confidence in my skills and also made me feel good that I am actually helping someone and here I am today starting my blogging journey on this wonderful platform.
✨The Biggest Teaching✨
Today, I am what I am because I never gave up. It is as simple as that, don't give up. What will happen if you fail? Nothing much, just going to get sad for a couple of days but at least you will have that motivation to fix the mistakes you did, at least you will try. If you give up, you are like a living corpse, you will lose your will to overcome your mistakes because you gave up and will get stuck forever. Remember,
if there is a problem there is always a solution for it. It is up to you to either find it and solve the problem or give up and live with that failure.
My takeaways ⭐
Never give up.
Never do multi-tasking, like ooo lemme learn this AND this AND that. No, just focus on one thing, master it and then proceed.
Keep practising!
Contribute to the coding community by helping in open source projects etc, so you don't end up like this guy and have contributions to show on your resume.
Either do a structured course or follow a proper roadmap so that you don't get lost in the way :)
Always try to apply what you have learned practically.
Don't lose hope in yourself, everyone has seen dark days but only those people who keep fighting can get out of those dark days and see the bright sky finally.
Well, hope this post helps you in understanding the things you should do to have a splendid coding journey! Till the next blog guys, keep coding and if you liked my blog don't forget to press the like button and comment!
